PPR Pipe Production Solution
Review the factory running video and the recommended extrusion configuration for hot and cold water PPR pipe projects.
This 20-110mm PPR pipe production line is designed for manufacturers producing polypropylene random copolymer pipes for hot and cold water plumbing, building services and related pressure-pipe applications.
The video connects the real factory test with the complete machine sequence, including extrusion, pipe forming, vacuum calibration, spray cooling, haul-off, cutting and downstream receiving. The final configuration can be adjusted according to pipe diameter, wall thickness, output, material grade and workshop layout.

For building plumbing systems requiring stable PPR pipe dimensions, clean surfaces and suitable pressure performance.
For residential, commercial and industrial cold-water distribution where the line must cover practical medium diameters.
The line can be configured for different diameters, wall thicknesses, marking requirements and cutting or coiling methods.
Process | Main equipment | Selection point |
|---|---|---|
Material feeding | PPR feeding and drying system | Provides stable feeding of PP-R resin, color masterbatch and approved additives. |
Plasticizing | Single screw PPR extruder | Match screw diameter, motor power, screw design and output to the material grade and target range. |
Pipe forming | PPR pipe die head and sizing sleeve | Use tooling matched to the 20-110mm diameter range, wall thickness and pipe standard. |
Sizing and cooling | Vacuum calibration tank and spray cooling tank | Control outer diameter, roundness, temperature and surface quality before haul-off. |
Pulling and cutting | Haul-off and chipless cutter | Synchronize traction and cutting length to avoid ovality, scratches and uneven pipe ends. |
Receiving | Pipe coiler or stacker | Select coiling for suitable flexible diameters or fixed-length stacking for rigid pipe sections. |
Before selecting the machine, define the product range and production target rather than comparing extruder power alone.
Required pipe diameters and wall thickness or SDR series.
PP-R material grade, color and any marking or identification stripe.
Single-layer or multi-layer structure and any barrier requirement.
Target output, working hours and expected product mix.
Fixed-length cutting, coiling or both downstream methods.
Local voltage, cooling-water conditions, drainage and workshop length.
Applicable pipe standards and inspection requirements.
Stable PPR pipe production depends on consistent material feeding, controlled melt temperature, matched die tooling, uniform vacuum calibration, adequate spray cooling and synchronized haul-off. Changing diameter or wall thickness may require adjustments to the die, sizing sleeve, cooling conditions and line speed.
During commissioning, check outside diameter, wall thickness, roundness, surface appearance, pipe length, color consistency and cut-end quality. Output should be stated together with the profile, material and quality conditions used for the test.
A 20-110mm line covers a broader range than a small-diameter plumbing line. The buyer should confirm whether the main production target is 20-63mm, 63-90mm, 90-110mm or a mixed schedule. The tooling package, calibration tank, haul-off and cutter must support the actual combination of sizes.
If the factory needs both coiled and fixed-length PPR pipe, confirm the changeover arrangement and downstream space before ordering. A practical layout should leave access for die and sizing-sleeve changes, cleaning, maintenance and finished-pipe handling.
