Main Description
Single screw and barrel are suitable for the production of various products, including ABS sheets, soft and rigid PVC pipes, cables, blown films, cast films, blow-molded articles, profiles, and tubing.
The extruder screw and barrel serves as the core component of extrusion molding equipment; classified as an industrial product, it performs the critical functions of material conveyance, melting and plasticization, and mixing homogenization.
As a pivotal component of the extruder, the screw requires materials that possess specific characteristics: high-temperature resistance, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and high mechanical strength. Furthermore, these materials must exhibit excellent machinability, minimal residual stress following heat treatment, and low thermal deformation.
Given that screw materials must withstand heat, abrasion, and corrosion, the manufacturing process typically involves heat treatment—specifically surface chrome plating or nitriding. Commonly utilized materials include 45# steel and chromium-molybdenum-aluminum alloy steels.
